Bayview Composites (BVC) is a composite and tooling fabrication company located in Burlington, Washington. Originally formed as Bayview Edison Industries, Inc. (BEI), to build motor yachts, the company expanded into aerospace and, ultimately, wind blade manufacturing. To better reflect the growth and market focus of Bayview, Q Solutions was hired to re-brand the company and to create a marketing and advertising campaign that reflected these pursuits. The campaign is ongoing, but much has been created to set the new marketing initiatives in motion.

Solution:
Website
When Q began working with Baview Composites, their existing website was a very basic HTML site. The content did not reflect their current business model, the design was antiquated and editing was cumbersome and extremely limiting. Their new Joomla website designed by Q gave the company a professional, dynamic, state-of-the-art website that could accurately and effectively market the company's capabilities.
Branding
The name, "Bayview Edison Industries, Inc." was largely adopted due to the geographic location of the company's main office rather than anything to do with what they did. When changing or creating a brand for a business, Q undertakes a rather detailed Q&A process in order to learn the who, what, how and why of a company. What resulted during that process with BEI was a powerful mission and commitment to provide customers with "Pure Value" in a projects. The one common thread among their 3 markets, was the material used in manufacturing; composites. We also took into consideration the existing name had enough recognition that it was important not to completely change the name. With all that in mind, "Bayview Composites" was born.
Collateral
Once the new Bayview Composites logo was completed, business cards were designed using offset print for a high quality output. Since much of their bid work and project management is conducted electronically, the logo was also applied to elctronic stationery and email signatures.
Copywriting
In every marketing campaign, the customer demographic is the most important factor in determining how to market and what to say. In the case of Bayview Composites, not only does their collateral need to speak to a highly technical engineering marketing, it also needs to speak to other, less technical staff within the specific market segment. Crafting the message for Bayview required much more than a knack for great copywriting, but also the ability to produce a balanced message.
Signage
BVC's signage needs varies from simple "Employees Only" signs to exterior street signage, wall graphics, door signage and substantial building signage for their highly visible, production facility. Signage is currently a work in progress.
Website
Composite tooling and fabrication is a highly competitive market. When you consider the market segments Bayview Composites competes, you begin to understand how important a compelling website is to marketing. The site for BVC is currently in development with a launch date expected in early 2010.
